Yeah so we're late again, but you should be used to that by now. Anyway this week, our usual host TJ is out (and apparently will be for the foreseeable future) but we're still attempting this whole talking thing with Matt Gagnon (mattyg), Matt Blumenthal (TheLetterZ), and Chase Becotte (Slizeezyc). This week we talk about a post-Ben Brinkman MLB 2K franchise, as well as touching upon Madden once again as some more updates have been released for that game. From there we try to figure out why EA is so obsessed with Metacritic scores and also ask ourselves if we fear the "casual" gamer. Snowboarding fans can also rejoice since we talk a bit about Shaun White Snowboarding, and gauge the hype when it comes to FaceBreaker. We end the show on a tangent-extravaganza that is beyond explanation. Listen in for allllllll this and more. Oh and since TJ is out right now the iTunes feed isn't being updated until we get someone else to do it, our bad.Listen to the show: Waiver Wire (6/1)

- Ben Brinkman leaves 2K Sports
- Updated Madden thoughts
- Freestyle/All-Play discussion

This mildly delayed edition of the Waiver Wire features Chase Becotte (Slizeezyc), Matt Gagnon (mattyg), and Dave Branda (BlyGilmore) discussing all things sports gaming related. T.J. is currently being shunned so he takes the week off, and Matt "Cue Cards" Blumenthal no-shows, so the leftovers are left to discuss such games as Madden 09, NCAA 09, Skate, Fight Night Round 4, UEFA Euro 08, Tiger Woods, and Top Spin 3. They also talk about some various news bits such as the revived EA/TT talks, Peter Moore saying something he probably should not have, and the Tony Hawk series taking a year off. This week's OperationSports.com's "Waiver Wire" podcast is finally online and available for download. We apologize for the delay in getting this posted but there were technical problems a'plenty this week.Because of those technical problems, we were only able to put up the first half hour of the show. The second half hour was recorded but was of very poor sound quality, so we made the decision just to go with one half of the show. Again, we apologize.
This week, T.J. Cutini was joined by Chris Sanner and the guys mainly discussed the new baseball releases. They also shared some stories from the OS forums, including the bluengold/JSKYWALKER saga.
To listen to the show, either launch the media player in the upper right hand corner of the OS top menu bar or download the .mp3 directly right here.
We do have one other thing to announce. Very soon (as in within the next week), you'll be able to download "The Waiver Wire" via iTunes. Stay tuned for details!

Down two men due to other obligations, T.J. Cutini and Matt Gagnon took one for the team and formed a duet for this week's edition of "The Waiver Wire". On this week's show, T.J. and Matt discuss the brand new OperationSports.com, the MLB 08: The Show demo and the fact that people are actually concerned with adjusting the demo's sliders. They'll also talk about some new additions to MLB2K8's franchise mode, the death of HD-DVD, and more!

Anyways, the four studs start off with the renewal of EA's exclusivity license with the NFL and the departure of David Ortiz and what it might mean for the future of Madden. EA continues to dominate the discussion as they hit on possible new IP's and various interviews given by new EA Sports head honcho Peter Moore. Because EA doesn't make a baseball game anymore they change the subject to MLB 2K8 and their new use of the right stick (Plus horrible player ratings). TJ departs the show before the Three Amigo's touch on Hot Shots Golf, MLB 08 for the PSP, some silly looking Sega Tennis title, some game about sweaty men wearing tights and the new NBA Ballers. To wrap up the show they venture into the real world of sports and talk about Richard Zednik's freak injury, the Rocket's laughable Congressional testimony and the latest NBA trades.
